
From the Office button choose Word Options at the bottom. Click Proofing in the navigation panel on the left. Click the QutoCorrect Options.... button. Focus on the AutoFormat As You Type. Remove the checks for most of these annoying automated processes. Leave Straight quotes with smart quotes on.
Add AutoText to the Quick Access toolbar. From the Office button choose Word Options. Choose Customize in the navigation panel on the left. Choose commands from, change to All Commands. Find AutoText and add it to the Quick Access Toolbar.
Type the text you want to record as AutoText and highlight. Click the AutoText button on you Quick Access toolbar and choose Save Selection to AutoText Gallery.
To use, click the AutoText button and scroll if necessary to see your AutoText. Click to insert.
Works great with the prefab Quick Parts. Insert tab, then select the Quick Parts arrow to get to Building Blocks. Since there are so many Quick Parts, organize them by Name or Gallery to help you find what you are looking for.
This is a new twist on adding Cover Pages, headers, footers and watermarks. To remove a watermark, edit the header. This allows you to select and delete the watermark.
Change the default location Word for saving your files. Office Button, Word Options. Choose Save from the navigation bar on the left. Under Save Documents, browse for the folder you choose as default. OK twice.
Sort
Highlight the data you want to sort. On the Home tab, click the Sort button in the Paragraph section.
Position your insertion point in your document that you wish to change. On the right of the Home tab, click Editing, then Select, then Select Text with Similar Formatting. Now make your change.

On the Home tab, locate the Styles group. Click on the dialog box launcher in the lower-right. Choose Manage Styles and then click Restrict.
